Support & data deletion

Everyday help, backup guidance, and ways to manage or delete data.

Applies to the current Android Release and this website. Updated September 21, 2026.

1. Do I need an account?

No. Local notes, checklists, tags, backgrounds, and backup export work independently. A Google account is only needed for optional Drive sync.

2. Why might Google sign-in be unavailable?

Google sign-in requires working Google services, a network connection, and a distribution build with the registered package and signature. Your organization’s access policies or Google account protection settings may also restrict authorization. If it fails, contact support with the app version and error code, never passwords or access tokens.

3. How do I back up and restore?

Open Settings → Backup & sync and export to a location you choose. Restoring replaces local data, so export your current data first. Backup ZIP files are not password-encrypted; do not store them publicly. Reinstalling alone does not guarantee recovery.

4. Does disconnecting delete my data?

No. Disconnecting keeps local and Drive content and is not the same as revoking Google authorization. Reconnecting may resume sync. Follow the steps below to remove all copies.

5. How do I report a problem?

Email ezglumes@gmail.com with the issue, app version, Android version, and steps to reproduce. If needed, attach a screenshot or log after removing personal content.

YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE

How to delete your data

  1. Keep anything you still need

Export and protect a backup if needed. Emptying Trash, clearing app data, or removing backups cannot be undone without another copy.

  2. Stop sync on every device

Disconnect Google in Settings → Backup & sync on each connected device to prevent content from being uploaded again.

  3. Remove local content

Delete notes or lists and empty the app’s Trash. To remove all local app data, use Android Settings → Apps → Note → Storage → Clear data.

  4. Remove Drive and other copies

Delete NoteVaultLive and your older exported backups in Google Drive, then empty Drive Trash. Sync history and attachments are not guaranteed to disappear when an individual note is deleted. Remove downloaded files, shared copies, and device-system backups separately.

  5. Revoke access or make a privacy request

Remove Note in Google Account third-party connections. There is no separate developer account to close. For support email or identifiable data held by the developer, email ezglumes@gmail.com with “Note data deletion” and describe your request. Do not provide your Google password.
